Kings Of Fluke

10 08 2007

As I’ve said earlier, Indian cricket has never enjoyed this much luck. Not only did they manage that incredibly lucky draw in the first test, which they should have lost, and would have, had the umpires done their job properly, but they’ve won decisive tosses in the second and now the third test match. Though it looks like Vaughan is set to lose his first ever home Test match series, he should not feel too bad about it as it came down, purely and simply, to luck. Not skill, not ability, but luck. And that’s not even considering the massive impact injuries to Flintoff, Harmison and Hoggard have had on this side. Bad luck, no more, no less.
